This method is however the most expensive among all the surgical methods. However the probability of a scar being left is very small, if this method is used. Some amount of swelling and burning may be caused by the use of this method. An antibiotic ointment can be used to help reduce it.

Majority of the people prefer removing the skin tag at home. The best way to do it is cutting them off by using nail clippers. This might be a little painful and may lead to bleeding. It should then be properly cleaned and an antibacterial medicine should be applied to it. This will help to prevent infection.
